[00:00:03] Speaker A: A year ago, and we have since created a blog aggregator called Twingly, which is— has become the major blog search engine in Sweden, counted to the number of blogs we index. But mainly, we've been successful in creating
[00:00:32] Speaker A: connection between the blogosphere and mainstream media. We index not only Swedish blogs but blogs on a global scale, so that's right now about half a million blog posts per day, and that amounts to this year around now to this day 55 million blog posts since
[00:00:57] Speaker A: January. And out of those 500,000, 10,000 is in Swedish. So it's quite a small share of blog posts that actually are relevant to our use right now. And we detect, I think it's somewhere around 55 or 60 languages, so we
[00:01:23] Speaker A: can part out which ones are relevant to Swedish people. We also have a ping service, so you can tell us that, yeah, my blog is in English, but I'm a Swedish blogger anyway. So please index me. And our main focus the past year has been to connect blogs with mainstream media. And
[00:01:49] Speaker A: we've been working with some newspapers to provide them with a service where they can show their readers who is linking to our articles. Yeah. And this is for the newspaper. This the purpose is both marketing and
[00:02:16] Speaker A: acquiring more traffic. And for the bloggers, it's great to to get attention from from from people who are normally not reading reading blogs. So it's a great way for it. These are the newspapers we're working with so far, and that's two Swedish newspapers: Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet, and then Finnish one Helsingin. And a
[00:02:42] Speaker A: South African newspaper, or news portal rather, called The Times. And for the newspaper, we've seen they attract a lot more attention from bloggers when they give them traffic back. So they see approximately 200% more blog links coming in from— this is in
[00:03:07] Speaker A: Sweden for the Swedish newspapers. That amounts to— attracts— that's basically a search engine optimization for them. The value is for them that they don't get lots of traffic from the blogs themselves, but when they get lots of links to their content, they
[00:03:33] Speaker A: get traffic from Google. Traffic from Google increases because their articles advance are more probable to end up on the first page of the Google search results. For the blogs, it means they get a lot more visitors. Some blogs see a tenfold in traffic
[00:03:58] Speaker A: the days when they link to the newspapers. This is not for the big blogs, but for a blog that normally has maybe 20 or 30 readers per day, when they link to a newspaper, they get 200 or 300 instead. So it creates kind of a
[00:04:23] Speaker A: symbiotic relation for both the newspaper and for the blog. The service provides more traffic, more readers, and for the newspaper it's also a way of doing marketing or brand positioning. I'm here
[00:04:48] Speaker A: to talk today about some stuff we're thinking about. We're now aiming to expand the user experience around Twingly, provide a much richer experience for the users of the actual website at twingly.se and in the future twingly.com.
