Linn Källström

Linn Källström (b. 2004) — eldest daughter. In Martin's story

• The birthday party. Linn turned nine in early 2013 wearing a Memoto prototype. The photos she came home with became the opening of Martin's pitches that spring: at SXSW in Austin — "These are photos from my daughter Lynn's birthday just one week ago" ▶ 0:48 — and at MTD in Linköping, where the point was hers, not his: "Det är värdefullt för min dotter att ha de här bilderna." ▶ 2:08
• The halo moment. When Martin needed a picture to explain what a lifelog should catch, he chose one of her: "That's my daughter, by the way." ▶ 14:51
• The degree. In 2023 she started a five-year computer-science master's — Martin's own field — while he was telling her she would graduate into a vastly different world than the one she was entering. ▶ 20:08

Her own path

• Studies. Civilingenjör i IT at Uppsala University.
• Teaching. Teaching assistant in programming and data structures, and in the computer module of the engineers' introductory course: answering questions in the labs and grading the hand-ins.
• Making. Amanuens at Ångström Makerspace, the university library's workshop — running the 3D-printing courses, repairing the printers, and doing the administration behind the scenes. She has also taught 3D printing to SIV, Uppsala's network for women and non-binary engineering students.
• Union work. Designer in the student union's digitalisation group, responsible for UI, design and marketing, and part of producing its competence guide for companies.
• First company. Latmat UF, run in her last gymnasium year: a cookbook of quick, easy recipes for the lazy. It turned over more than forty thousand kronor and won Årets Årsredovisning in Östergötland and Bästa Produkt at the Linköping UF fair.
• Industry. A summer internship at Sectra in Linköping on the company's Education Portal — software that teaches doctors.
• Summer jobs. Centralcaféet in Kinda, the space company Beyond Gravity, and Jureskogs in Linköping.
