Nūvai (Nūvai AB, nuvai.se) is a Swedish digital-health company and clinic for precision psychotherapy — psychotherapy shaped around the individual, with carefully selected medical additions such as ketamine-assisted therapy and breathwork — with its clinic in Hyllie, Malmö. Martin is co-founder and CTO since 2026, and leads the development of the digital platform and the AI-supported tools that make the precision model possible. What Nūvai does

• The clinical model is psychotherapy as the foundation, with additions when clinically appropriate: ketamine-assisted therapy (inspired by international protocols of six infusions over about four weeks), breathwork (typically twice a week for four weeks, at the clinic or online), and psilocybin-assisted therapy abroad through partner clinics in Europe, with preparation and integration handled locally. The platform Martin builds

The digital side of Nūvai is a multi-tenant clinical SaaS at app.nuvai.se: a staff portal for therapists, nurses, physiotherapists and administrators, and a patient app for onboarding, booking, tasks and questionnaires. Its main components, per Martin's August 2026 overview:

• Session AI in production — therapy sessions (in the physical rooms or online) are recorded, transcribed and summarised by AI; tasks go to the client's profile and out by SMS; a draft clinical note is produced for the therapist to review and sign. OpenAI is used in production under a data-protection impact assessment (DPIA) and sub-processor management.
• A precision AI tool as the core architecture: it integrates baseline data (symptoms, personality, psychological flexibility) with ongoing outcome data, compares patterns against the evidence and generates hypotheses for the therapist to reflect on — explicitly designed as decision support, not an autonomous clinician.
• Algorithmic care-pathway routing from screening scores (PHQ-2/GAD-2, sleep, functional impact) with crisis detection, plus algorithmic therapist matching on language, availability and specialisation.
• Stack and delivery — Next.js and Supabase in a pnpm/turbo monorepo of roughly 17 packages, BankID authentication, internationalisation, and an MCP server for AI-assisted development; staging-first deployment via GitHub Actions with promotion of a validated build, and typed error handling with request-level traceability.
• Compliance as part of the repo — GDPR and data protection, DPIA, a medical-device strategy, regulator contacts, substance handling, consent withdrawal, traceability and inspection-readiness routines. The pre-launch process included spec-driven PRDs, end-to-end test protocols with pass/fail criteria, UX reviews and clinic simulations with actors.
